I've recently encountered a lot of images on the internet I can't save the ordinary --> right clicking and saving way. Highly unusual, I've only found maybe a handful ones like these in the past.
How does /g/ steal their images?

They're probably html background images. You can do >>57250117
Or download the full html of the page and take the image from there

Right click -> Inspect Element -> Fiddle around untill you find the image element or another element that has the image as a background.
You can also try rightclick -> view background. Sometimes works, most of the time doesnt.

I always wrote a little program that scrapes images of jbg because they store all of them in slices of 4 to stop people from saving them, and then it stitches them together and saves it as an image.
It also lets me random find images that meet certain resolution minimums.
I'm quite proud of it but unfortunately it will never see anybodys gaze but mine, for it is too lewd

In the inner most element that is still technically the element you have to sometimes go through multiple levels to find the element that actually has the background-image property in the computed CSS, sometimes it is the inner most, not always though.
