BUSYBOX INFESTED WITH MIRAI BOTNET

>The Mirai botnet is malware designed to take control of the BusyBox systems that are commonly used in IoT devices.

>patching feasible
NO PATCHING FEASIBLE for most devices, there is no easy fix in sight. IoT device manufacturers will need to consider architecting fundamental security principles into the designs, such as avoiding the use of default credentials.

Holy shit just how much of a moron are you!?
You ALWAYS need to take security into consideration while developing a product.
This could have happened to a lot of things (which it does) but nevertheless the impact will remain enormous.

I bet that you don't even consider security yourself when using technology with dumb statements like these if you think not implementing security is normal until things are starting to go wrong.

Fucking normies keep buying cheap unsafe iot devices and are ruining the internet.

What? Did one of the developers leak it? How does this even happen?
>>
>>57238991
Just a reminder that there are actual botnets around.
However busybox is pretty secure.
The reason of those vulnerabilities is that busybox does not stop the user from making the the system insecure themselves.

Now that chinks and pajeet are developing cheap shitty software for iot devices they are also making vulnerabilities to go along with them. The way to solve the problem is to keep security in mind while developing the implementation around busybox. Honestly sometimes people here need to think about solutions instead of calling on itself pretty secure software a botnet.

Implying I can't post a semi thread related webm instead of people spouting memes all the time on this board.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. A lot of the most popular Linux distributions and their repositories have been infected with Mirai as well. Linux users in general are going to get a big wakeup call in the next few months.
>>
>>57239115
let it go man, you're talking to retards and trolls who haven't even read one line about how Mirai works

the problem isn't BusyBox, it's manafacturers installing devices with hardcoded passwords or not forcing users to change their credentials, that applies to Windows too you fucking shill
