I have a day job, doing IT consultancy. When I feel like making money, mostly by compromising large organisations with access to useful resources (think ISPs, research facilities, software chopshops that produce widely used software in certain industries) and selling access or information from them.

Less common than it used to be, but, you do still find it on occasion.

For the most part, if I'm just browsing something major corporate website and not looking to own them, I'll really only find stupid shit like reflected or DOM-based XSS.

Bonsoir, Elliot.

seems a little redundant, doesn't it?

meh, can't really abuse XSS too much, some companies will pay you for it tho

bet his hacking toolset is: havij, sub7, LOIC, assHOLE and badwartz password crackers. All downloaded from tbp. He probably uses Kali or the AnonymousOS

XSS can be useful; I did manage to once chain it together with an authenticated unrestricted file upload to get a shell.
Fuck disclosure and bug bounties, though.

>>
>>57235775

most people I know are doing something like

* obtain BTC
* via tor, buy a vps
* via tor, ssh into vps
* (optional) setup ssh/mosh listening on tor on vps
* use your VPS to hop once more into a box you've popped
* setup ptf here
* go about doing your nefarious business

wondering if you have any criticisms of this setup.

No, Mom. Fuck you. Get me more mountain dew.
>>57236303
That sort of depends what you're doing. Ettercap had some good shit for that, and there was Firesheep, too.
>>57236313
My view is that the VPS is a weakpoint there; BTC is, after all, a trackable ledger of transactions. You might as well just compromise another box and use that as your midpoint. Before Lightaidra, Mirai, and Gayfgt came along, IoT was fucking amazing for that.
>>
>>57236373
what would you recommend as a substitute for BTC then?
>>
>>57236400
Don't buy anything at all. When you bring any kind of financial transaction into things, shit gets complicated. Instead, go find shitty botnets run by scrubs from Romania or whatever, and take those bots to use for your work.

>>
>>57236788
Yes.
I hate my day job, because it means long and often unsociable hours doing boring shit.
Hacking is fun, on the other hand, but it can cause high levels of stress. Many of my friends have gotten arrested, some of them have killed themselves, and others have actually ended up with serious psychological issues.
Not today.

>If you want to be a pentester, go do the OSCP. If you want to go into management, be a CISSP.

Thanks anon. Any other pointers? Like where to start? Also what is your opinion on the Cisco certs? Do I need a CCNA?
>>
What's your most major hack? Mine was finding an exploit in a popular PHP script which would let me get into thousands of servers, I only wanted to get one file from the server I used it on though so I never bothered taking full advantage of it

Would have reported to the vendor but they were shady asf and probably wouldn't have paid me, I bet that exploit still probably works too
>>
>>57237095
Go to conferences, start networking. You don't need CCNA, though it wouldn't hurt, I'm sure.
You should learn python, because all the pentesters use it for their tools. Familiarize yourself with Burp, Nessus, Metasploit, etc.
>>
>>57237143
Hard to say. I've compromised a lot of cool shit over the years; my FAVOURITE hack would probably be when I owned about a /24 of a large technology company's own flagship tech they were using for development a few years ago, or when I was IRCing from Microsoft's conferencing systems like 7 years ago.
>>
>>57237582
Heh neat, I really do wish more companies would invest in pentesting/bug bounties, there's so many things that slip by they could never hope to catch and the people who want to find them are willing to sell their services to you, so why not use it? I mean would you rather have your shit get hacked by some rando or by someone on your payroll?

Sadly there's way too many companies who would rather press charges/sue than fix their shit...

http://www.markblinch.com/

The front page shows a picture (maybe you have to refresh a couple of times) of bautista and encaracion two baseball pictures.

The html does not have a jpeg, however depending on the size of my screen the server sends a larger picture.

However, i think there might be a limit on the size the server is going to send.

Can you give me any hints as to how to obtain the full 3.9mb 3330x2200 image the photographer is selling?

I just want to use it as my background on my laptop, thanks.

I got the same image.

However, the website the full size of the image is 3.9mb at a resolution of 3500x2333 at http://mblinch.photoshelter.com/image/I0000yC5FPemkL3o

What I realized was that If use a bigger tv to stretch my web browser the server sends more information.

If you have a 4k / wide / better resolution and tell me if that's true that would be helpful so I could screen shot it on my friends 4k tv.
