Definitely push for $600 and have the money ready there and then (normally works without fail, have some beer or other alcohol with you incase he wants money and alcohol to go with).

Should work well for both anime and shitposting quite well and has a HDMI should you want to look at a larger screen instead of the built-in one.

Can easily use the MBPr for more than just those two as well.
