Why still no browser with vertical tabs?
because it's what normal people are used to
because normies would rage about having to turn their heads. Also because since everything is widescreen lets waste more vertical space, so content seems even wider.
>>57233468
This guy lists some Firefox add-ons, that make tabs aligned vertically.

Tree Style Tab, thank me later
>>57233804
no, thank you
they took like 1/4 of the screen
>>57233468
Opera 12, Firefox, SeaMonkey, etc.
>>57233886
You do realize you can configure the width, right? Fucking dumbass.
because your screen is wider than it is tall, which annoys you're stupid and contrarian brain. (you) this if you're down
>>57233984

ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER
DO YOU SPEAK IT?
>>57233964
the titles are still horizontal thus you canĀ“t make it look like the OP's pic.
>>57234071
*ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER.
>>57234082
That's a plus, OP's photo is retarded. I've got a sidebar and vertical tabs and still have a ~3:2 area for viewing websites. What's the issue?
>>57233804
I was looking for something like this. Thanks, anon!
>>57233468
Because people don't read down-to-up. Much less sideways and down-to-up.
>>57233468
Your vertical text is bad. It's obviously been anti-aliased then rotated, making it look blurry as shit.
>>57233886
I'm sure you can sacrifice a little of your vertical space in your wide-ish monitor.
Or you can be like me and set them to auto-hide.
Whatever
I wouldn't mind a side tab bar, with normal, horizontal text.
But I use a more-or-less square screen that is already too narrow for a lot of websites.

There's tree style tabs for Firefox. I've been using it for ages.

Browsers with native simple vertical tabs functionality or that have extensions for it:
Firefox (already mentioned)
Chromium (with vTabs)
Kinza
Opera 12
Chropera
Vivaldi
SeaMonkey

Otter Browser

I've got firefox and It is a pain to search for a fix. I've tried Classic theme restorer, doesn't work.
I'm trying Hide caption titlebar Plus, and it does seem to do the job but leaves an ugly box covering my theme that I can't get rid of.
Any tips would be appreciated, pic related
Tree-style tabs and Tile tabs for maximum comfy
>>57233468
Mozilla has an official vertical tabs add-on for Firefox called Tab Center.
https://testpilot.firefox.com/experiments/tab-center
I wish chrome would put the bookmarks bar side by side with a shorter address bar.
>>57238088
can it be made less wide?
>>57233886
it's actually better becase most sites are still formatted for 4:3 anyway.
>>57238060
>tile tabs
looks dumb. instead of falling for the ultrawide meme you should have bought multiple monitors.
>>57240519
>instead of having multiple tiles you should get multiple tiles with a bezel between them

why does that matter when multitasking?

For poorfags that don't have wide screen
>>57240589
that you can tile in any application without the need for extensions?
>>57238088
GNOME as fuck
>>57240606
A windows manager can already do that and I'd argue a whole other piece of hardware counts as an actual extension of the display. I can't see the benefit.
>>57240638
literally all I have to do is drag a tab over to the top of my other display and drop, it couldn't be any more convenient than that.
>>57240662
How is that any different than dragging a floating or tiled window in any manager? Why would I buy a whole separate display just to get the same functionality but with gaps between things, seems like a waste of desk space and electricity.
>>57234560
Any good Chrome alternatives?
>there will never be a browser with tabs cutting across the browser diagonally
Why even live?
>>57240152
The widescreen meme has to die.
>>57241115
I wonder how hard that would be to implement, I wish I had the time to do it for you. Sounds fun.
>>57233468
Because most people on this planet read left to right or right to left, no up and down you fucking ass. Stop being autistic.
>>57238046
Oh sorry, I think that was the one I was thinking of. Have you tried going to Settings > Customize > Title Bar toggle button in the lower left corner of the panel that pops up?
Why doesn't Tree Style Tabs exist in literally any other browser than Firefox? It's the only thing keeping me on this shitheap.
>>57241780

TreeStyleTab is the solution

>>57243891
Then you should use whatever works best with your screen size/ratio.
>>57241060
In chrome, press Alt+Esc. this will open up Chrome's Task Manager. its the closest thing to vertical tabs without installing any add ons. i use this to sort my tabs alphabetically or by memory consumption

This. Tabbed interfaces in every application is stupid duplicated logic that only came about because window managers and taskbars suck.
