Will the 1050 be much better than the 2g RX460?

I mean the 4g 460 is not worth it's price for the miniscule upgrade you get from the 2g model.

Fuck yes I'm happy. My old card was a 650 ti and it couldn't run anything new. Got my card in early August and have definitely made use of it since. I saved heaps of money as well since they were 750-800 AUD at the time at other places. Prices still haven't dropped lower than $700 AUD.

Definitely.

Runs 1400 core, and 2250 mem with +30mv and +15% power consumption.

>>57229471
You just missed a sale for it. And look around. It's 310 burgers on Newegg. I hell of a deal for the price, performs the same as a 390x 8gb for the most part. But there's that potential to unlock it to a partial or even a full fury x. I went with the 480 though simply because of the vram.

I have a Radeon HD7850 and an old Benq 1080p monitor and I want to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz monitor some time soon, what's the go to card for that end? I'm not really concerned with hitting 144 FPS on max settings for every single game out there but I'd want to be able to hit 144 FPS comfortably on games like Overwatch.

In dx11 it'll be a bottleneck, but overclock it and you should be fine as long as you're just looking to get 60fps.

would I be better off with a 1050 than?

If so should I pair it with a FX6300 or the X4 845?
>>
>>57231259
It won't be such a bottleneck to make the 1050ti perform as well. As long as you keep the gpu under sufficient load, the only way your cpu becomes a significant bottleneck is on cpu heavy games. 845 is newer technology, but you'd still be better off with a 6300. Or even an 860k for gaming. If you can, I would say just wait to see what zen and kaby Lake bring to the table. How tight of a budget are you talking?
>>

Not the most accurate representation, buy I'll correct myself and suggest the 845, especially if you're sitting that tight on your budget. Might be a good idea to go with the 1050ti anyways and reap the benefits of lower api overhead, then put the saved money elsewhere.

I am very pleased with how it has performed over the years but it is getting a bit old. It ran every DX10 game i have thrown at it reasonably. However with new games (GTA5) barely able to keep stable 30 fps @ 1080p and new games requiring at least DX11 i feel it is time to upgrade. I will be picking up the beefiest Vega card AMD releases.

How does it perform, is the 192bit memory bus a bottleneck? I've been considering it as an upgrade to my 670 for more vram and also the lower power draw.

I haven't tried any games that would push it to the limit. DOOM needs an 11.6GB patch. I'll update it later and try. But its better than my 7970, uses much less power, more VRAM, more features. Much nicer cooler. Went from a Gigabyte Windforce to a Sapphire Nitro+. The Windforce was cool, but cheap. Though I could hardly complain about a 4 year old card lasting as long as it did. Doesn't matter much as the hardware limits to Pascal overclocking make sure they are all very close to one another. Out of the box the Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming Water Cooling has highest clocks but just by a tiny margin compared to many other top bins by other manufacturers. Nearly all 1080s achieve close to 2100 MHz boost core and some hundreds of MHz higher memory speeds. Better cooling yields more stable boost clocks with less throttling but difference is rather small as long as you don't have a blower card in a hot case. Thermals, noise and aesthetics are a better way to pick a 1080.
