Whenever I install Arch Linux the font rendering looks like ABSOLUTE TRASH, no matter what font I choose. It's unusable.

From a clean Arch install, how do you make fonts actually look good? Tell me your secrets.

Install Antergos instead, it's Arch but you don't have to waste your life configuring every little thing.

What about it? For the most part it uses Arch's repos with only a few things coming from Antergos repos.

Yeah I was reading about it now.
Is Antergos to Arch what Mint is to Ubuntu? The exact same thing but with some packages preinstalled and configured for convenience?

Yeah pretty much, which is why I made my switch to Antergos permanent once they got that installer working as it should. You can even install just the base system which is literally just Arch sans autism.
