Where can I get a simple chromium zip to install?

I went from FF to Ungoogled Chromium and tried finding replacements for all of my add ons. Chromium then crashed whenever trying to open the extension menu. Is it really that shit or just because the ungoogled build has never been updated

this thread peaked my curiosity, i've been using firefox for years, I like chrome but i felt like chrome ate too much shit up, but just got a new machine with a lot of ram so wanted to try it out (running linux mint 17.1)

firefox is definitely slower. chromium takes up a little more ram but runs much smoother

after side-by-siding my most used websites (4chan, drudge report, youtube, reddit (yep), and a few oldman message boards i have decided to switch default to chromium

my only complaint about chromium so far is I'm used to refresh button being on right side of the address bar. I know about f5 btw

firefox needs to step up their game. I will still run firefox on my 2gig ram machine though

You can just turn off "Block Dangerous and Deceptive Content" in the Security settings, no real need to fuck with your config switches. The speed jump was noticeable when I tried it (at least for launch), but I'm not sure it's really worth it.

Honestly, ungoogled Chromium is fast and has most/all of the links to Google severed. And since I don't give a shit about tree-style tabs, there's no downside.
