What's your monitor setup look like /g/?
What's your dream setup?
Id like an 8x3 array of 1440p monitors
Right now, two 1920x1080 in landscape orientation. Because all I do is shitpost, most of the time I'm only looking at one monitor. However it's nice having the extra space so I can put fb2k on the second monitor, or if I need to move files or something it's nice having two monitors, again, for more space.
I'm okay with 1920x1080 for each monitor, mainly because I also game and like high framerates but am "poor". If I had a system that could run 2560x1440 at a consistent >=120 FPS, I'd get two displays of that resolution, obviously that could output >= 120Hz. I'd like to also try a second monitor in portrait orientation for muh fizzbuzzes.

pic related is my desktop. My right monitor is the vertical one and it's at about 45 degree angle.
I wouldn't call it my dream setup but I have no idea what my dream setup would be, currently this works very well and I have no reason to get another monitor.
>current setup
1680x1050 main monitor with a 1920x1080 secondary monitor
>dream setup
2560x2048 monitor between two 2560x1600 monitors with a large 4K TV wallmounted above them for movies and TV shows

i have one 1080p monitor
i'd like to have a 1080p monitor with at 144hz refresh rate and with gsync IPS with a second monitor horizontal for text like news, irc, 4chan etc.
once there are cards powerful enough to power 4k with full settings and 144fps then i'd go with 4k but until then i'll settle for 1080p powered to the max.
i'd also like to have a 1080p television with an oled display with HDR but they don't make them at 1080p and rather charge more for the same specs with 4k only option. I say this because at my viewing distance 1080p is optimal and should be cheaper but they don't make oled HDR capable televisions in 1080p
My main is a 40" 4k monitor and two 20" 1600x1200 displays (in portrait) on the side. I'll probably replace those with 19x12 monitors real soon.
I'd love it if manufacturers would make dedicated portrait displays (preferably 2:3AR) to accompany their other products. If I had matching 1440x2160 displays, I'd be in heaven.

This picture pisses me off. It's just going to make people think 4K TVs are physically larger.
I decree that this is to become the new standard comparison image.
My current setup:
[3840x2160] + [1280x1024]
Dream setup:
[3840x2160] + [3840x2160]
I could get another Dell P2415Q even now but I just can't justify it.
5k. I already have it.
