Is there a way to make an old router repeat wifi signal just like android uses the "hotspot" option?

I looked up WDS but that requires changing settings on the other router and I don't want that.
My old router is a Thomson TG585 V7 if that helps

I think you're confused about what the hotspot option in Android is.

Also, yes. Flash something like OpenWrt on your router.
