I went from an S4 to an 5X.
On the S4, the entire screen was dedicated to content.
On the 5X, there is a huge amount of space wasted.
Not only is there space on the screen taken away to show the buttons, there is space on the front of the phone that is neither buttons or screen.

The OG Droid was the best.

The Note 7 is honestly one of the most beautiful smartphones I've ever seen. Too bad it got discontinued after the poor reception of it's unscheduled self destruct/integrated hotplate feature. Really could have been one of the greatest.

This is still the gold standard for me in design.

It looks premium, feels absolutely comfortable, and buttons were amazing.

It's unfortunate it's a dead company now, the Passport felt really fucking uneven, even though conceptually it's a great device. So many privs were returned due to shoddy build quality. Shame really.

If Apple did that, it would be pretty cool, but in the next phone they'll remove the on-screen keyboard because it's making the phone too fat and it's outdated. Everything is voice activated then and you have to buy an external mike for the lightning port. The phone will be thin enough to snap in half if you put it in your pocket, though, which is cool.

I got this piece of smartphone into my hands once and I fell in love with it. The body could fit a bigger display, 4.1", maybe 4.2", and the notification LED could be on the bottom instead of the front but it's still fucking perfect.

I'd be all over an updated version with LTE and better HW specs (keep the 480x854 resolution for all I care).

I don't give a single shit about camera. I very rarely take a picture of a document of some sort but that's all. For anything else, I use my compact camera that I have with me most of the time.

And I never, ever use the front camera. I seriously don't understand its use. I only know one person who's used it once, and that was for a single short videocall to a relative across the ocean when their laptop's web camera broke. All those whores and womanly guys who take selfies all the time to post on Facebook don't count. They are worthless existences.

I wouldn't even care if my phone camera broke. Actually, it did once, but the LED flash also stopped working, so that was kinda a big deal to me so I got it fixed. It's always handy to have a flashlight on the go.

I miss this motherfucker. I remember going out to buy a Galaxy S, getting to the store and tehre wasn't stock. Clerk convinced me to pay for it and just pick it up two days after so I would be sure to get it. Two days later getting to the store and they only got Galaxy S2 phones. He apologized and I just got the S2 for a little more than half it's price because the store wasn't getting the S anymore and I already payed.
I remember that despite that I was bummed to go back home with a phone I didn't want. After a couple of days using it I realized I was so fucking wrong.
Bought the extended battery with the back cover and the phone looked bitching and lasted two days without problems.

There are a few real life reasons.

First. The best way to put a smartphone in your pocket is upside down, screen facing the out. This way it's the easiest to pull out the phone. So the headphone jack should be on the bottom.

Second. A headphone jack should be right next to the charging port. Why ? Because, let's you are walking in the woods and you feel like charging your phone (from a powerbank which is in your backpack or back pocket) and listening to music via headphones in the same time. You just simply cannot do it if your headphone jack isn't on the bottom beacuse all the phones have their charing port on the bottom.

Three. Lets say you are in your car using your phone as a gps, and playing music with a cable. The five-o chases you so you are doing mad drifts and remember that you have an eurobeat playlist, but the jack cable gets in the way of your finger and you crash your whip and get arrested.

Well, that's a carrier question, so you can always call or go into the store.

I do iOS phone support for Apple, so I know enough to say that the carrier, especially if you call, should know that information and be able to help you figure out what you'd be missing and what you'd have.

Looking back, the S was absolutely garbage stock. It lagged like shit on Eclair, Froyo and GB took forever, you had to reformat /data to ext4 manually, and it didn't get ICS because samshit couldn't fit their giant touchwiz onto the 512mb ROM
