I'm new to pc building and doing research for my first build, but have no idea where to start for a case. What are your guys favorite cases out there, preferably somewhat affordable. I kind of like a more minimalist look like pic related.

Also, which brands are often recommended, and which to steer clear of?

Zalman T5, NZXT H440 and Fractal Design R5 are some of my favourites. All have the minimalist look you're asking for

I have 2 fractal cases.

And both are very well thought out and easy to build in.

And the price is also in a nice range. Comes with some OK silent fans pre-installed and filters.

Received my Phantek enthoo evolv ITX case this weekend and just finished my build. It's radical but I had to get used to the rather small case.
Compared to other ITX cases it's huge though and I can absolutely recommend it. The downside is that a watercooling system of some sort is advised.

The pictures of the case on the sellers page had a windowed side panel and mine came without a window, what a bummer.
I couldn't wait for a replacement and began the assembly. Do you think it's possible to exchange just the panels?

Currently i have a phaneteks evolv atx but i also have a fractal define r5. For the money i can't recommend the r5 enough. Extremely solid and well made and really easy to build in. Only flaw with it is the moduvent system kind of sucks as the clips break. Its leaps and bounds better made than the s340.

I'm slightly puzzled that you bought a 34L ITX case. I have a 23L mATX case and was thinking of downsizing to a 14L.

They're probably not going to accept the panel alone. You would probably need to sell/trade it somehow.

Maybe someone else online regrets getting one with a window.

I must admit it's pretty wide and I didn't search enough for cases. I imagined it to be much smaller. But personally I wouldn't have considered a lower, shorter case than that because of the length of my graphics card and the NZXT Kraken X61.

I think the 300R non windowed is one of the sleekest cases for $69 but it only has 4 HDD slots, and the entire top is this big ass mesh with no dust cover, but that one you showed with is cool because its hard to get a full window that looks good at a value price.

I don't know any cases, but nice setup.
>>
I love my Phanteks Eclipse P400S

I actually have the case in pic related and I like the simplicity of the design. No nonsense, no tacticool vents and mesh and LEDs everywhere, just a simple, straightforward case.

thanks, i find it easier to get off sometimes if i look at porn the porn on my monitor through the reflection in my side panel window instead of directly looking at it
