I prefer using the shit out of my old stuff and having no worry of them being damaged or stolen. Lagom is the word you should look up to find the ultimate comfyness in your lifes.
My old Thinkpad works just fine and two 9-cell batteries keep it running all day long. Same thing with my old Toyota Yaris-economical, reliable, no need for a bigger nor more expensive car. Same with my Mora knife, point-and-shoot camera, Nokia dumbphone, etc.
