Should I get my CCENT/CCNA Security
or
Network+/ Security +?
Help me decide
Get the comp tias done first. Cisco tests require a lot of study time, and they assume you already have a pretty good base knowledge,
Comp tias are easy, can be studied for quickly, and are a decent introduction to the concepts.
Get them all you nigger.
First do CompTIA then Cisco.

CCENT and Net+ are basically the same.
I would just do the Cisco shit.
My college course is using training material from Cisco, MS and CompTIA for different subjects and there's a ridiculous amount of overlap between them.
Vendor qualifications are more valuable.

Don't give Cisco garbage any of your money, it's a racket. Worked with their shit for years, it's a sinking ship. The hardware is backdoored and their once great support is now staffed entirely by Pajeets.
CompTIA is alright, but 2ez.
If you really want an InfoSec cert, just go for the OSCP, that's the gold standard.
Then again, InfoSec isn't a field where certs matter much, it's about what you do and who you know. Go to hacker cons, meet people, try and discover something new, give talks about it, and blog about your experiences.
CCENT is worthless. Every entry level job wants a CCNA, or if you're lucky, they'll accept experience doing an entry level job somewhere else (ie you were promoted to net tech off the service desk somewhere).
Can't speak for the other two.

Are you a compTIA shill?
Security+ is easy peasy.
Look at the DoD 8570 compliant certs, then you can throw "DoD 8570 certified" on your resume, too.

So you are saying to do Security +?

Dont you need 5 years experience for this?

Yes, ignore anyone that says CISSP, thats career infosec with prerequisite experience and an application process.

In that case, what is good to start with?
