So I've finished up a LFS a few months ago and just recently done it for the raspberry pi to get an always online shell for when I'm on mac/windows at work. My question is this, how complex would it be to build a wget list orientated distro (or as barebones as possible) to simply start steam in big picture mode and play games like a console? Would continuing through BFLS be worth my time?

It's mostly for learning purposes and to take up a box I've had unchanged since 2010 that can take an alright 7850 I've lying about. I doubt it will get any real attention once I'm finished

I fail to see how talking about building a barebones distro belongs on a video games board, it's not like just because I sometimes play video games my other work on a computer is completely ignorable

Or would it be classed as a jeos?
How about Buildroot? You can get as barebone and customized as possible and still is reasonably friendly to use.
