Have any of you had a Z97 motherboard that lasted longer than a year without problems or have some advice in dealing with them?
I've had 3 Z97 motherboards that have all broken down after 10-12 months of usage
First one was ASRock Z97 Extreme 3
Second one was MSI Z97 GAMING 5
Both of them began randomly powering off and booting back up again until finally blacking out for good
Third and current one is Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 and it's begun powering off randomly just like the others
Is it just a given that these will die out after a year of heavy use and somewhat high temperatures? My friend living a mile away used a 990FXA-GAMING for the past 2 years with no problems at all.
Have you used a different PSU with them, a quality one at least? It could be power spikes or even your mains power causing them to die prematurely.

All of them have been on an EVGA NEX 650g gold
The first 2 both used the same one, but after the second failing I RMAd it for another NEX 650g gold

had mine for 3 years with no issues, use my computer religiously and is water-cooled
hell, 4 of my friends have had them for 2+ years with no issues
i dont think its your mobo

Is power supply the most likely culprit then?
Could wiring/cables also be the cause?

This, or a bad insulating in the case screws or other, but this is unlikely. I vote for the PSU

Stop buying shitty motherboards.
MSI Z97 PC Mate.
GA-Z97-UD5H
MSI GAMING 5.
All of those are good, the rest either have problems or are shit.
Also your PSU is fucked.
