Goodnight sweet prince.

EU, save us! End this bullshit like you did with the shitty chargers! Fuck the free market!
>>57149099
apparently offering an adaptor is enough, this won't do shit

Really does feel freaking forced.
When Apple got rid of floppy, CDs most people were already not using them. 3.5mm is still in great use.

nobody cares
Let me know if Samsung decides to drop it from the S8
What did Apple do with the saved space from the 3.5mm jack? The body's not any smaller.

without googling someone tell me where i can find the ground, right channel and left channels on the headphone connector

bigger battery + bigger Taptic Engine
>>57149352
They put a little plastic apple logo in there. It's a design choice, you wouldn't understand.
>>57149062
And replace it with what?
A dongle? That didn't end well with all the older dumbphones that did it, and it didn't end well for Nintendo when they removed the 3.5mm jack on the GBA SP.
Bluetooth? Separate battery to keep charged, lower audio quality, comes disconnected sometimes, harder to switch from one device to another.
Face it, this is a marketing ploy to sell more AirPods.
When Apple dropped the floppy on iMacs, people were already using CDs and USB sticks because floppies were too small. When Apple dropped the DVD drive on the MacBook Air, most people were already using USB sticks and streaming instead. Here they're removing something people still use a lot and don't have a reasonable, standard, common replacement for it.

Not by much, and who cares.
>>57149367
Taptic engine only as anybody cares.

Pretty sure that's the order they're in from sleeve ring tip.
That is: tip left, ring right, sleeve ground.
It was surprisingly hard to google to confirm, and that seems to be it.

Seriously this. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills that nobody else says this stuff.
Everybody tries to talk about how "Apple killed the floppy drive and serial and parallel", and just brush under the rug that a) they mostly didn't b) they tried to "kill" plenty of other standards and that bit them in the ass.

nobody cares, they went to shit after the M8
