I'm in two minds about Jennings. In some ways I think he was right to walk away from Fidonet, but in another I think he created something that it's totally unethical to walk away from.

But he was right to get mad when law and government got involved.

You can tell this was wasn't written recently.

The fucking feels when I look at the original fidonet access numbers. I have the second number burned on my heart forever because Madil's was my local access number. Then the area code expansion in Maryland made me have to reconfigure fucking EVERYTHING because 90% of the 301 area code became 410, and dialing the area code became necessary. My machine was NOT happy with having to dial 10 digits instead of 7. It was happy with dialing out to 484-2831 and the 301 was only necessary when I was at my mom's after my parents split because she was long distance for Madil's rainbow box.
