Hey. I just hit one and it got my mind wondering... Why cant we just log the infohash's of torrents being passed through the DHT swarm and then log it to a database? Instant torrent index right there.

I dont think this uses the method of just logging the hashes other peers are looking for.
Btdigg did that. Kinda hard to see the amount of seeders/leechers.
I guess it's too slow to be feasible.

You can.
Of course, without doing a lot more work the list of hashes isn't going to do you any good.

I believe that actually requires you to fetch the .torrent file, which is what I meant by "a lot more work".
Then again, I could be completely wrong about this.
