You have 10 seconds to explain why you use an OS that has less than 10% market share (desktop)
>>
>>57139849
But I haven't used Firefox since 2008.
>>
>>57139849
same reason i didn't use IE when it had 90% market share

Because I'm not retarded?
>>
Because I've been using it for 12 years and it's comfier than the others.
>>
Because Chrome does not let me style the UI with CSS.
>>
came with my ubuntu distro and i go by the if it aint broke don't fix it. basically I'm logical and smarter than anyone that has switched from it.
>>
>>57139849
I'm not, I'm using Opera.
>>
>>57139950
Opera or Chropera?
>>
>>57139960
Yes.

But you are

>>
>>57139985
okay here is the response you wanted so badly. don't squander it.
>>
>>57139993
What the fuck are you on about?
>>
>>57139849
Because I like it. I'm comfortable with the interface, and unlike chrome, it doesn't mash my 200 tabs into pixel-thin slivers.
>>
>>57140280
Opera doesn't do that.
>>
>>57139849
because chrome looks like absolute hot garbage on hidpi displays on Windows and Linux

also, using anything other than Safari on OS X is pants on head
>>
I use Waterfox.

>using a good browser on OS X is retarded
>>
>>57139849
It's reliable. Chrome keeps choking and fucking up pages at random. Not worth the 2% speed increase.
>>
>You have 10 seconds to explain why you are still using Firefox

Because it's the best browser overall for me and my particular patterns of usage. It's nearly 100% customizable (some things are now not changeable but that's fine since they're not things I'd mess with anyway).

My Firefox ESR is portable, has been for years now, hasn't crashed since August 2013, has 26 addons and 12 user scripts, is heavily customized and doesn't even look like any other browser at this point and it's fucking mine.

Now what should I do with the remaining 5.37 seconds, I wonder.
>>
>>57139849
Because iam a faggot who likes to use things he knows even though there might be a better alternative.

What is so wrong with firefox anyway? Can someone explain it to me? I really do not know why i should switch to some other browser because iam a uneducated guy.

firefox28esr

also

The web is shit anyway now. Firefox is just the best of a bad pile.
>>
I use Chrome, but I don't see why it's that big of a deal to use other browsers. Features matter more than speed because, nowadays, the speed difference on a good machine (different if you're using something old and want something light) is pretty negligible. If you just can't stand any sort of communication with Google and love libre shit, sure, why not use Firefox?

I think Google has the best features and speed, but with some tweaking I'm sure that Firefox would serve me almost as well.

just install seamonkey instead.

Ponder why you're wasting your time ricing a browser?
>>
>>57142057
I disagree. It's usable on all well-designed websites.

Treestyle tabs +custom css mostly
And a few add-ons exclusive addons to ff including "open with"
>>
What's a good alternative if I want vim keybindings (including link hints), and preferably a minimalist UI? I did not like Vimium last time I tried it, and qutebrowser is insecure at the moment.
>>
Addons, and I'm literally autistic so I can't stand change.
>>
You ever tried chrome on a MBP. Fans sound like they're about to fucking explode and the thing gets scalding hot. Maybe if it didn't eat all of the available RAM I'd use it but for now fuck that
>>
>>57139849
I set my useragent as Chrome. Isn't that enough?
>>
I use Edge, firefox or Chrome are way too insecure and keep a lot of data about you
>>
Normal people scare me Xd
>>
Edge sucks, ie had always sucked, opera turned in chrome, chrome is botnet. Only alternatieve is Firefox.

tree style tabs

low market share is not disadvantageous for users. it means that it's a less profitable target for exploits
>>
>>57142057
Yet I've been using it practically daily since it came out. Chropera is far less useful.
>>
>>57139849
>that huge chrome market share
This legit triggers me
>>
>>57144862
It's really bullshit though. It's just because (((Google))) packages Chrome with every Android device.

Chromebooks as well.
