I like 8.1 with the classic shell so I can use the 8.1 themes Windows button start menu instead of tiles.
It's like 7 but more flat, I liked aero but it got old after a while

XP and before were garbage design wise. Vista was pretty good and 7 is the best. Windows 8+ is back to garbage.

Looked like shit in many of the older versions. Stock KitKat was the best in my opinion. I feel like Google was the only one that hadn't totally chopped the balls off its designs but they fucked up Nougat on the pixel. I'm happy running Marshmallow on my Nexus 5 for now so that I don't have to deal with the monstrosity that is the Pixel phone and new Android.

I used it from 1.0-7.1.2. It was really nice up until the very end of iOS 6. So 1.0-3.1.3 was great. Around iOS 5.1 it really started to become the hipster/fag shit that it is today. iOS 6.0-6.1.1 was fine. 6.1.2-6.1.3 was buggy as fuck. My iPhone 4 was updated to iOS 7 without my consent, even when automatic updates were off. iOS 7 looked and worked like a pile of rainbow shit. I was not happy. I've never had another iPhone since.

this, I liked XP Classic the best. Lots of fancy desktops with transparency, special effects, animation, shadows and all that shit are posted on here, and they look great, but I will always prefer the old school simple aesthetic for my own computer

the cool kids used to use solid color desktops to save RAM. the focus was in the actual programs you were using, not the GUI or desktop
