If usenet works for you, then go ahead and continue using it. There are pros and cons to every form of distribution out there.

Though the seeding thing is really only something you think about your first few weeks in most sites. After that you mostly just make sure to leave stuff in your client long enough that you don't get a H&R (if the tracker has such rules) usually just a few days, but it's not something you really need to consciously worry about.

I highly recommend AHD actually.
I joined it before joining PTP and BTN.
I did get into PTP through WCD, but AHD got me into BTN and (soon enough) will get me into HDB.
AHD has an excellent library and you will be able to find pretty much any movie (assuming it has been released in HD). The same goes for TV shows, though it is harder to find those.
Many of the encodes on AHD are HDB internals and many of them can be cross-seeded onto other trackers once you get on them.
It is also retardedly easy to maintain ratio on AHD because of the BP system in conjuction with AHD internal encodes being 75% freeleech and remuxes being 50% freeleech.

What is the go-to tracker for Films/TV and the recommended route of getting invited to it?
