priv owner here. build quality isn't the best. it's not poor materials or anything but anytime you add a slider to a device it tends to get a little "loose" after a while. it is not a good phone for someone with a very active job where it's getting banged around. after i put a case on it those issues are no longer a problem and it feels pretty bomb proof. i fucking love the physical keyboard and performance is top notch. i really do love the priv and i have a feeling that i won't be changing phones for a long time.

yes. It would be better (in my idea) if it would came with BBOS. I passed the passport because of that ugly half blackberry keyboard. Space key between v-b looks ugly and If its not for sym and shift and ctrl keys you literally have no reason to use physical keyboard. See pic related.

They'll provide OS10 updates for a few more years (=infinity times more than the average android manufacturer) but they won't introduce new hardware for it anymore.

True, but so won't the community.
EG the Q10 was introduced in Q1 2013. Roughly the same as the Samsung s4.
The Q10 still gets update and there is one more to come next year. The S4 has cyanogen 10.2 as the last stable one.

They should go back to improving the UI, adding more customization options, and if this had been a few years before I would have argued they needed to use their server infrastructure to provide every subscription service they could on their own platform by luring content creators with the ability to directly sell to the market AFTER they get their segment of the subscription.
