It happens to the best of us and if it hasn't happened to you yet then it's inevitably going to happen in the future. Of course, I'm talking about a hard drive failure.
I'm going to give you a step-by-step guide on how to recover data that may just save your life (or at least that mid-term paper).
Click HERE to check it out!

pls don't cum on it

For this demonstration I'm going to be using a hard drive I found in a scrapped computer at the dump, unfortunately tested yet none of my motherboards will recognize it.
Who knows what mysterious secrets could be kept on this disk?
Stay tuned to find out.
>>57131672
you could probably fit the contents of that onto a mini-cd
>>57131697
Hurry up i need to fix 3 HDD
>>57131697
I'm listening
>>57131697
For those who want to try it for themselves I've listed the requirements here:
1) Any windows distribuion after windows 7 that's capable of reading disks. I'm using windows 7 myself.
2) A computer. For this test I'm using my server
3) A screwdriver kit with screw fittings that fit the screws in your own hard drive.

>Any windows distribuion after windows 7
>I'm using windows 7 myself.
better start installing windows 8+, then
>>57131736
Step one is to undo the screws on the outer case. Usually there will be 4-6 screws on the edge on some models there will be 2-3 screws on the top of the case, hidden underneath stickers.
Protip: You can use your nail to rub across the stickers and find the indentation of the screw heads, from there you can simple undo them.
After this is done you'll want to open up the case.
>>57131767
The next step is to take out these screws that secure the disk itself into the hard drive.
Protip: Sometimes the inner screws are different to the outer screws which means a large variety of screwhead attachments for your screwdriver will be necessary if you are unsure of the model you will be working on.
>>57131791
After this you simply pull the disk out.
Don't worry about any scuffs or scratches, contrary to popular belief, the disks inside your hard drive are quite resilient
5/1 odds on that it gets put in a microwave
10/1 odds posts it stores party van material
2/1 odds for shitting on it
>>57131824
Next step is to open the optical drive on your computer and simply insert it into the tray.
>>57131849
A perfect fit!
>>57131871
Close the tray and wait for the computer to recognize the disk
>>57131849
>>57131894
cut ur nails u filthy autist
>>57131894
Now navigate to the directory on your computer where the disk files are.
Notice how the operating system refers to the disk as a disc now that it has been inserted into the optical drive.
Looks like this cd was used to dual boot 2 operating systems
>>57131871
at least something nice didn't have to die for that dank meme
>>57131922

>>57131940
No shit
>>57131922
Now, after extracting the files you choose from your successfully recovered disk you eject the media
>this thread
>>57131966
It's time to reset the disk back into its original casing and move on to step 2 of your master plan
You are doing Gods work OP
>>57131991
For this you're going to need:
>The hard drive
>A jar of petroleum jelly
>A small explosive device
I didn't expected to laugh, but i did.
Thanks for cheering me up OP.
>>57132026
Remove the disk from the bedding and you will see multiple cables running to the rotor of the hard drive. Take your wire cutters and snip these cables as close to the rotor as possible.
>>57132060
Now you'll want to create a circuit with the wires by attaching them to either end of the detonation charge of your explosive device
>>57131894
>>57131966
why does everyone on this goddamn site have nasty ass fingernails
cut your shit you mongloid
>>57132098
Of course, the jelly will come next. This is the star of the show as it will spread out upon detonation of the explosive, liquefy and continue to burn on whatever surface it sits on.
Feel free to really lather it up.
>>57132105
Most people got things to do than maintain personal hygiene. Like, compile Gentoo.
>>57132126
Now the trick here is to screw the upper casing on enough to be firm but you want it to be able to give way.
Protip: Screw the upper plate on tight and leave it overnight. The next morning you can gently undo the screws and the casing will feel firmly pressed together but still be vulnerable to opening after ignition.
>>57132160
Equally as important as the ingredients is the bait. Make sure you learn your target and give them an incentive to use your hard drive.
Protip: Take an online course in psychology
>>57132188
Proof of concept
>>57132212
poor hdd, just too old to handle installing the nvidia drivers
Oh, OP. I thought for a second that you have a real way.
Once I connected the wrong power plug into my extern HDD and ist stopped working from then. The data is still there but I can't access it. Who do I get my data back without paying hundreds Euroshekelz?
