Please recommend me an MP3 player with expandable memory that isn't pic related (had one, want something new with decent battery life)
Sandisk clip sport lasts 10 more hours.
Moto e 2nd gen

>$40
>8GB internal + micro SD slot
>2,390 mAh battery
>4.5" 960*540p
This is probably the best MP3 player out there to date. And you can use it as a back up phone, web browser, ebook reader, ect just in case.
Any old android phone

Just ordered an AGPtEK A18
Has everything you'd need except no other color options that I can find. Reviews make it seem good but we'll see

I have a Sony nwz a17 and I love it, battery last an incredible amount of time. I think there's a newer version, the a20.
>>57129528
>Up to 32GB
I was pretty shocked until seeing this. You could really be on to something with that route though.
>>57129528
>>57129561
No, they can play mp3 but they are not a replacement for a dedicated device. Shit DAC and underpowered
@OP: fiioX something
>>57129861
You can use a 128 GB and up micro SD card just fine. Only catch is it must be formatted in FAT32 so max single file size limit will be 4GB. Though I don't see this being a problem for an MP3 player.

>No, they can play mp3 but they are not a replacement for a dedicated device.
They are. Especially since they have larger batteries and are able to work with bluetooth headphones that have A2DP.
>Shit DAC
>and underpowered

>>57129886
Well then that's excellent. What the fuck were they thinking with that description?
>>57129938
It's there because when people try to use 128GB micro SD cards and don't format them to FAT32 (they come pre-formated in exFAT), they'll cry that their phone is broken.

>I listen to ultra compressed music with my 10$ headphones and sounds perfectly fine
This is you
>>57129986
Not him, but some phones have very high quality DACs.
Looking for something to use when I go running. Preferably cheap, light and with decent sound quality if possible. Would anyone recommend SanDisk players?

320k MP3 is LITERALY audibly transparent. Hell even 192k MP3 is to most people.
http://mobile.pcauthority.com.au/Feature/57229,bluetooth-a2dp-explained.aspx
Also A2DP will basically stream your 320/192k MP3s without transcoding them on the fly. So that means they will literally sound the same on high quality bluetooth headphones or regular ones.
Only real problem is battery life of your bluetooth headphones but I'm assuming you won't buy the smurf hair dryers from aplel.

This makes me wonder how many tiny screened mp3 players I've skipped over for similarly spurious claims of being worse than they are.

No but clearly you are. I never said anything about the Moto E being chinkshit.
>>57130141
Except the firmware is fucking trash and the battery sucks.
It's a shitty clone of the X3, it's like they don't even know what they're doing.
>>57130994
It runs rockbox unlike any of the fiio players so criticizing the firmware is a bit disingenuous.
