A website where people make game of life configurations and battle them.
Whoever has the most after a period of time wins.
The arena would just be both of their setups.

Hotel occupancy forecasting tool. Use historical data, weather forecasting, day of the week, ADR, compset ADR and occupancy, historical compset ADR and occupancy when available.

A webcomic with dynamic panels that animate and move as you scroll through the pages. Certain events in the story might cause the panels to get cut in half or destroyed, or force charges through the breaks to show them going backwards or forwards in time. Certain panels might require the reader to resize their window to see hidden details. Background music could be integrated into the site and even synchronized with the panels.

-Agar.io with black holes (you never see your opponents)
-Drawing contest with Elo (each 1vs1 battle are short ~ 1min, one other player is randomly selected as judge)
-MMORTS in 2D (simple and large scale)
-Physical based AI contest with space combats and gravity (there is no weapons, just physics, also timewraps and more)
-Social network based on shared calendars
-Some way to create music online with "friends"
And more but I always forgot everything..

If you find some interest in one of these, feel free to develop it. But don't forget that execution is almost all that matters

I'm currently developing an image board though

Not really. It's laid out more like a conventional comic, but kind of inspired by Korean Manwhas that scroll continuously downwards, so as the reader scrolls down the panels will fade in, animate, reconfigure, etc.

I'll admit I haven't read Homestuck in a very long time, but I always appreciated Hussie's ambition. He did a lot of cool, meta-breaking shit even back in the Problem Sleuth days, so I won't deny the inspiration.

Basically I think when peoples refer to "friends" they actually mean "shared time" as for "brain similarities". (Also, let's assume the fact time is slower when you're young is the reason childhood's friend relationships feels stronger).

The idea is to make a scheduler that gives you things to do according to what you like, what you have to do and shared events that are automatically created from your social circle and "subscriptions" (uni, work, pizza party group, ...).

Just an idea I won't make because social networks are retarded.. :^)

it needs to be paired with a desktop/phone application, but a site that uses aggregated media consumption information to profile your taste in music, books, tv, movies, games, etc. charts showing changes in interests over time, suggestions algorithm leveraging user data to show users media strongly associated with stuff they like. tracking of consumption progress (where did I leave off watching that show?), built in affiliate purchasing. notifications when authors, directors, artists etc release new works you might be interested in (or have explicitly chosen to track).

i think the most challenging technical aspect of this is creating a smooth UX for gathering all that information, it can't be obtrusive at all.

i really like the idea of being able to, say, select 20 artists and ask the site "what did people who also listen to these artists listen to the most in the past 30 days?" "what did that group of people watch today?" "notify me when over 90% of this group listens to a song not in my library"

obviously there are privacy concerns w/ this so ideally we could get by with a good privacy policy and still be profitable via affiliate sales, premium user packages and light ads, but who knows.

>>
>>57143085
Reddit's ranking algorithm is fucking stupid and it gives me a bunch of irrelevant bullshit instead of posts I'm actually interested in. I'd like to be able to customize it clientside so that I get more posts on the front page that actually interest me.

Reddit's formatting system is pure garbage and millions of other sites do things better using standard BBCode or HTML.

Reddit Enhancement Suite has "endless" scrolling but occasionally it craps out and runs out of posts to show, same with BaconReader.

Being able to bump posts instead of relying on fucking upvotes would be killer.

I know 4chan has a hate boner for Reddit, but overall I find it to be a much more useful site for actually getting answers on things. Plus, its discussions tend to be more civil. Discussions also have a longer lifespan on there, which is slightly ironic considering the lack of bumping. Whatever the case the site has its problems, and my gripes with it have more to do with its interface than anything. 4chan and Reddit serve different roles, though I'll admit that I like Reddit better overall.
>>

>>
>>57143328
I hate Reddit for several reasons, but that's a pretty lofty fucking claim. The one thing it got right is that there are nearly endless boards dedicated to every single obscure subject out there, so closer groups of 5-10 people can discuss something in a much saner environment at a much slower pace. Of course moderation and voting fucks that up, but conceptually it's much better.

Not a website idea. A programmable breadboard/PCB where each clip has 4 transistors that connect it to it's neighbors. I actually stole it from someone else.
I gave up after I realised that chaining transistors doesn't work because of the voltage drop. (I have literally no clue about electronics) Someone else also has a better implementation where they have designed a custom IC. They have a extremely low current limit though at 40mA.

Hillary is a mass murderer though

Honest? Yes. Productive? Fuck no. Most people are fucking idiots, and when thou give them a space where they can express their idiocy anonymously, that's what you'll see. I find 4chan amusing, but I find Reddit to be a better source of actual advice and information.

Hilary has lost more money than trump
She's killed more people than trump
And she's committed more federal crimes than trump.
And she's also lied more than trump, because trump actually believes the bullshit he pours.

Luckily for us, people are committed to bringing reddit circlejerks here via general threads

I don't need a route planner (there are plenty working ones), I want it on a live map to look at and see them move around

I'm familiar with GIS and programming but it's just hard and tedious to get the proper underlying data

Even though I'm a redditor, I still think generals on /g/ are cancer. They should get their own fucking board.
>>
>>57143818
I use both, I like to compare them, but I honestly think redditors should learn a few things about 4chan before they post here. Honestly, I think much of the blame for redditors being so despised on here can be pinned squarely on /r/4chan; that fucking cesspool is detrimental to both sites.

I should also mention that I was using 4chan years before I became a redditor; being told to go back there kind of irks me for this reason. But whatever, with the sheer number of cancerous newfags that come here from /r/4chan, I can't say I blame anyone for telling me that.

I have a website that already makes a little bit of money but I'm too lazy to scale it up ... it's an e-commerce Woocommerce website most money is made by redirects to Amazon Affiliates

Anyone wanna help ? We can split 50-50

I want to make a site for middle aged/old people to teach them proper internet usage/etiquette/safety

Beyond just "don't open unknown email attachments," I'd like to see something teaching them not to share dumb clickbait articles on facebook or fall for those stupid copy&paste for cancer things.

Ideally, it's just a series of questions of whether or not something is ok to share or safe to open, and if they don't pass it'll disable their internet connection and save a local copy of the quiz and force them to keep taking it until they get it right.

Mostly just something I'd make for fun and then give to my stupid family members

Everyone can agree that share if you like is absolute fucking garbage but forcing someone to not be able to do it isn't right

Sorry for the late reply. You still there?

Yep, I'm alive. I've got PHP, RoR, and Node experience, but I've never touched WP. I've got two sites up right now, 4lock.org and pokemon.rainbowrei.ch. Contact me at rainbowryke at gmail dot com and we can discuss it deeper.

I'll write you tomorrow, it's getting late here.
Hope we can work something out
It's hard to get motivation alone, doing it in 2 is better.
>>
>>57149851
Yeah, I agree. I've been working on a fairly large pet project for a few months and I've been slowly losing motivation to see it to completion. Hopefully working with someone else will revitalize me.

but service is done by others than yourself
so a hitman for hire, but with consent?
>>
>>57151091
Could be fun though. You hire someone to kill you and you spend the rest of your time trying to survive
>>
A website that ships children slaves to pedophiles. Everything is encrypted and anonymous. Send money and give address then wait a week.

On our end... Your money is converted to Bitcoin and sent to a hitman agency on the deep web with your address as the target.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
