1. Assassinate Poettering and Sievers
2. The world becomes right again.
3. Install Runit
>>57103418
we don't
>>57103418
Don't worry, RedHat will fix the lack of an integrated X server very soon. It's needed to fix the lack of a gtk toolkit and a web browser.

By reporting bugs
Every systemd bug I have reported has either been fixed or adequately answered
>>57103428
this
Who /openrc/ here?
>>57103927
I used to use openrc but I replaced it in favor of systemd because openrc was too buggy and feature-less
>>57103418
strip all non-init system crap out of it into separate projects.
obviously you can just not use those things, i just dislike that it's getting shoved into systemd and you have to disable it at build time, or let it build and install and not use it.
>>57103418
1. Unwire all that dependencies (so you can install ANYTHING without systemd)
2. No PID 1
3. Use "BSD Init" instead
>>57103418
you don't fix systemd, you fix linux users
the only issue i see in systemd is it's trying to be everything. it'd be much nicer in smaller, seperate projects. the login system from it seperate from the init system from it, as an example...
It needs to be done from scratch
>>57103418
Remove your autism
Just stop supporting distributions that push systemd on you. Slackware and Gentoo are perfectly usable operating systems that still use the old init system and will probably continue to do so for some time.
>>57104176
>init system
>features
What features does an init system need? All it should do is bring everything up then fuck off.
>>57103927
Reporting in. Fuck systemd and its cancerous architecture.
How do we fix perfection?

Mounting filesystems for one, and fstab can rightfully go fuck its self. People are freaking out about systemd-mount but I'm so excited for it. fstab is my greatest enemy.
We need Tron's help, the MCP must be stopped.

Tron's dead, baby..

Separate its parts, make them replaceable by making them more around standards rather than what lennart wants.
systemd works great generally, you're a liar if you deny that. It's just too controlling though that makes me want to avoid it
>>57103856
come on, someone on /g/ that actually does something helpful instead of complain endlessly to boost his ego?
I don't believe this
Windows 10 comes without systemd
checkmate freetards
Post a bug report about how its broken and suggest a patch.
Are you new to open source?

Laugh.
convince lennart that everyone uses and loves it but don't actually use it. That way he'll stop getting the RHEL/NSA guys to shill here.
