how do you charge this shit? i turn it off, connect to my laptop with usb cable. red light flashes faster as when it just plays music. then it stops flashing and just lights up red. tried two cables, didnt charged, i dont have any more.

If you have the money, get the Mi 5, if you don't, get the Note 3 pro - both have got snapdragon processors, which grants you the ability to use custom roms (pretty important as miui is fucking bloated)

Everbuying is trying to chink me.

First month with my Xiaomi Mi5 3gb/64gb model has passed.

1) The volume output both from the loudspeaker and the headphone jack is lackluster. The quality is pretty great, but the volume is what makes this thing pretty awkward when it comes to watching youtube when theres noise in the room you are in. The speaker that is used for calls is fine though, no problems with sound output there.

2) I'm in Lithuania, 4g works flawlessly. I had to manually set the APN settings though. Some googling did the trick, not a very big problem.

3) I dont know yet for 100%, but it seems to heat throttle after ~35 minutes of heavy gaming. In world of tanks it jumps from a constant 60fps to 60-45 fps. Happened to me only once so far, because I dont play games for a mire than 20 minutes usually.

4) The screen glitched out for me once. When I tapped on an app icon, it would tap on the app thats directly to the left or right of the desired app. Rebooting fixed this problem and I havent had it ever since, however i had to long-press the power button in order to do it, because clicking on reboot would also click on the left of the button and it would cancel out.

5) Both cameras are very nice. The IS on the back camera is great. Doesn't do well in low-light conditions though. The pictures turn out noisy. Speaking about the cameras, the camera app is pretty nice, easy to use, has some nifty filters. Built-in editing app is fun too.

6) SCROLLING SCREENSHOTS! Great stuff. Screenshotting a recipe has never been so quick and easy, and it's in one big piece, too.

7) Gorilla glass 4 is very nice. I have dropped this device four times so far and all i can see on the screen is a tiny little bruise which can only be seen in direct sunlight and when the screen is squeaky clean. I have a case on it, so the back glass is flawless so far.

8) The mi remote app uses online databases to find the correct mappings instead of mapping the keys yourself with the remote like on the Lg G3. Bummer.

9) The fingerprint scanner is my true and only love. Fast, responsive. The key to unlocking your phone the fastest is not to turn on the screen and use the scanner, but to place your finger on the scanner when the screen is turned off and then clicking the button. It wakes the phone and instantly scans the fingerprint.

10) Battery life is great. I've got anywhere between 5 and 8 hours of SoT.

11) QC3 is great. The chink adapter that was included broke already, and the one I bought is a bit too narrow for the original charger. I've been without QC for a week now and it charges fully in about 2:15 instead of 1:30.


All in all, great phone. Do recommend.

ah, forgot to mention the screen. it's an IPS LCD panel. the viewing angles are great, brightness levels are fantastic. i have no problem seeing anything in direct sunlight and the lowest brightness is a bit too low even at night! impressive. also, the screen tweaks contrast automatically when theres direct sunlight, so the text is easily readable.

i'm pretty impressed so far. they have lots of bass for an earbud, less than the 400 but more than 320

they sound better than monks imo, they might not be as detailed but they have the bass impact the monks lack

i don't recommend the 320s or 400s because they're not that cheap but for ~$20 these are great
