Is 1440p a meme? It worth upgrading to a 1440p ips from a 1080p tn?
>>57096896
why do you newfags refer to everything as a meme?
>>57097517
This is our site now grampso better get used to new memes like "is x a meme?"
>>57097599
Don't let your memes be memes.
>>57096896
What monitor is that?
>>57096896
It's a massive meme, 4k is already phasing it out of relevance.
>>57097627
literally no one is using 4k as a computer monitor u stupid faggot, 4k is memeshit anyway and isn't even really 4k
1440 is great and will last
>1440p
>1080p
>p
stop using television standards to talk about monitors.
The correct answer is to go straight for 4K, if you can afford a good 4k panel. It scales FHD content better and more pixels is always better.

>literally no one is using 4k as a computer monitor
There are several people on /g/ who use 4k monitors as their monitor daily...
The Phillips 40" and 43" 4k monitors are solid, and the 43" dell 4k is pretty good too. They're expensive, but not everyone is a poor highschooler.

no it's not.
1440p is an excellent resolution which I much prefer over 1080p
Stepping up to 4k would cause some shitty interface scaling

But still no true HDR. We can go up to 1440 IPS >120Hz, and then stick to it until a good HDR, 144Hz, IPS 4K appears at a good price.

i have 3 and am going to buy another 3 when i finish designing the custom armature
4k ips or gtfo you poorfag.

It's not a meme, but if you're comfortable with 1080p IPS, the only time you'll feel the difference is at the beginning, since text is a lot cleaner. Windows apparently doesn't suck at scaling as much as it used to (citation needed) but if you're not interested in dropping the money, it's not a big deal.
PS: Get the Dell U2145 because 16:10 a best
Anybody has had any experience with that Pixio brand? I just bought a 1440 IPS monitor @ 60Hz from them. It costs $200.
