Read up on AI winter, buddy. People have been saying that literally for generations, and nothing has come out of it.

Not an expert, but here
1. If practical, Python. I believe Basic is very easy to learn, but it is obsolete.
2. If for practical usage, then C, but there is a language that was created to be impossible to learn.
3. Java
4. See 2.
5. Matlab maybe?
6. For AI, Lisp is perfect. For haxoring, C and assembler are needed.
7. Java will probably not become obsolete as the VM will get better and better, but C / C++ will always be good.
8. Java / Javascript
9. C++
10. If there is one thing that machines will NOT do is code. I doubt the government would be so stupid to allow that. The computer will probably take all the other jobs though.

You should learn to program and then learn half a dozen languages. If you can't do that, give up.
