My phone infos say it's using Android 5.1.1, isn't Kate supposed to be using 6? Or is it because of the chink ROM?

Love my OP3 so far, no real issues as of 3 months.

However I do have a nitpick with the slower "open" times when I press the open tabs button *the button to the right of the home button, opposite of the back button.

When I press it, it takes almost a full 1-2 seconds for all the tabs to show up. Even when there's zero tabs, it still takes a bit slower. I've tried restarting my phone but same issue.

I use SwiftKey and Firefox on my note 4, and often the keyboard gets some nasty delays to where it crashes and has to reboot. Is this an issue with SwiftKey itself or using it in Firefox?

I know Firefox itself can have issues on certain websites like wikis where it crashes often but I doubt there's much that can be done about that

Closest thing i can think of is the official physical keyboard case on samsung phones, it's pretty cool, it actually changes your screen's display so the fact that it covers your screen should be way less annoying

Hi, has anyone managed to get the Xiaomi Note 3 Pro back camera working with CM 13.0 or 14? I have the newer model, purchased from china this month and apparently there are some problems with it due to Xiaomi only releasing old sources for the old camera which isn't shipped with the new model. I've tried 3-4 different CM builds along with the camera fix & extra blobs but it won't work. I also tried AGNi kernel and it didn't work. Has anyone managed to get it working?

Anyways I got it working. For anyone else with this problem, what I did was:

Unlock bootloader and install TWRP (use google for that)
Install CM 13 firmware
Downloaded official CM 13 nightly from TheStrix on XDA (build cm-13.0-20161015-NIGHTLY-kenzo)
Downloaded AGNi from psndna88 on XDA (build 2.0)
Wiped everything from phone and then flashed CM
Rebooted and went through initial CM setup
Rebooted after completing setup
Flashed AGNi and rebooted (no wipe), camera now works flawlessly

I tried to do the same before but flashed AGNi after flashing CM but before before going through the setup, which gives an AudioFX error and also seems to break the camera.

I don't think fingerprint works but I don't use it. There are patches for it though (coded by xda pajeets), YMMV

I loved my Nexus 4, but battery was annoying though it ran so smoothly with just plain Android, smoothest running phone I've ever held. S5 was terrible. Specs were good for the time but it didn't matter as it ran so shit it constantly froze. LG G3 was made of garbage. It froze less than the S5, but the 2k screen and specs were more than its battery could handle. Overheated a lot. Practically needed gloves to power it off the metal power button would get so atomic.

I've looked into Axon Pro, Axon 7, LUK Z2, and some Redmi as I believe all of these will active with an existing SIM even if they aren't officially supported. Axon seems promising, but bit large for my taste, I could do for a little less with a little smaller of a build.

yeah, I'm ok with the 720p screen, it's small and the upside on the Z5 compact is that it doesn't have a glass back. I can't complain though, my Z3 Compact has been a great phone and that's why it makes me sad that Sony is going downhill. Z5 without the magnetic charger is fucking stupid. The screen is a tad bit bright on colours but x-reality sorts that.

Review of my RN3P that reboots randomly

(Well, it reboots, I'll try not to focus on that)

I had a Nexus 4 since launch and was happy with it until apps grew bigger than the internal 8 GB.

This and a faulty digitizer 1 month after Google's European 2 year warranty got me in the market for a new phone.

/g/ shilled MotoG 2014 (1 GB RAM + 8 GB internal + microSD) but after a year lagdroid and nospace for apps again

So, RN3P shilled. This time got the 3GB instead of 2, from Goldway Aliexpress

Package looked fine and the phone itself is nice, I should have opted for the grey one instead. I have the silver with white front, the grey one has black bezel and looks better.

Metal body looks good but looks prone to scratches. Same as screen, I think it doesn't have gorilla glass

The thing is usually snappy and the fingerprint sensor on the back is better than no fingerprint at all, but not useful for checking the phone while on a desk.

Camera is slow. Better than Nexus 4 and worse than MotoG 2014, I think.

MIUI is a mess, I wanted to flash CM13 but the phone reboots itself randomly and I am waiting for a dispute with the vendor. Sent instructions to reflash but I end up with a bricked unit, only fastboot worked. Managed to flash global official firmware again after a few hours reading forums (Chinese videos were wrong in some steps and I couldn't follow them as the phone refused to boot to Android)

Depending on the dispute I'll try to sell it at a loss or install CM13 and forget about warranty, the phone itself is great except for the rebooting issue of this unit, and the less than average camera (common problem)

If I weren't such a Jew I should have gotten a Moto G4 Plus from Amazon at 239€ instead of spending 160€ and hours of time reading pajeet forums

The classic is the most comfy phone I've ever owned, and I'd still pay the full price for it today, but you're not getting a lot of performance for your money. Just comfort. I have no idea how I managed to live a few years without a cursor in the mobile browser.
I'm not sure about whatsapp, as I've never had any need for it, but 90% of android apps work OK.
But if you absolutely need whatsapp, snapchat etc and you still want a hardware keyboard, then BB Priv is probably your best choice.

Really liking my Redmi 3 Pro. The camera is really the phone's only fault. It irks me at times because it tends to have issues focusing. (And I have to close and reopen the app a few times)

Why two separate microSD slots?
The HTC 10 and LG V10 have some of the best DAC's currently available, and both with mSD slots.
However the LG V20 is supposed to have a DAC that demolishes what even the V10 had, but we'll see when it launches at the end of the month.

WP is pretty dead. I used them from 2010-2014 (HTC HD7 & HTC 8x), but they rarely receive updates, and have few to no real apps.
If you want a solid device that's simple, and just a few steps above a dumbphone, they're great, but I'd almost recommend iPhones over them at this point.
