Wasn't a meme? Well, can you cite the advantages Opera has over other browsers? And 12.16 over the current version (40.0)?
>>
Yandex Browser
It's the best web browser.
>>
>>57076009
Definitely not.
>Well, can you cite the advantages Opera has over other browsers?
The plethora of features. Tab stacks, side tabs, Opera Turbo, Opera Mail, just to name a few. Opera's the only piece of software I've ever used that truly deserves a solid 10/10 rating.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Features_of_the_Opera_web_browser#Legacy_features.5B10.5D.5B11.5D.5B12.5D
>And 12.16 over the current version (40.0)?
Presto > Blink, although it's starting to show its age. And when they switched it was as basic as could be, everything that made Opera good was gone, it didn't even have bookmarks for fuck's sake. They're slowly readding features but it's still nothing compared to a stock Opera install even if you use a bunch of extensions to bring some of the old functionality back to Chropera. Now SeaMonkey's the best bet as a replacement and even it pales in comparison three years after Opera died.

you only need to know something about how vulnerabilities and exploits work, how to obfuscate code, etc

I use SeaMonkey for anything where security actually matters (which isn't much). I don't care if it's insecure and outdated, I'm not giving up the best browser until I have to.

gnome-twitch would be nice if it actually fucking worked. Instead it just sits there and does fucking nothing when you try to load any stream.

>>57078173
Security matters with every single webpage you visit. Old browsers can have vulnerabilities that can fuck you over from fucking anything on a random webpage.
>>
>>57078200
How are they going to fuck me over with a vulnerability in a sandboxed browser that has no personal information? Regardless, idgaf. I'm using it till I can't.
>>
>>57078158
If it would be I'd say
-change your font( with winaero tweaker or something)
- change your icons
- change taskbar color
- switch to the version of the theme with round window controls
- remove the fucking store from your taskbar or do you use that shit?
- some more shit I cant think of right now

5/10

lol when people watch other guys play video games

Back in the quake 3 days I would watch frag videos or whatever but they were specially curated to be interesting and impressive. I cannot understand how watching some autist play some game for autists is interesting.
>>
>>57078250
Good luck.

>>57078256
You might as well watch modern games, there's no real reason to play most of them because it's 99% fucking story and 1% shit gameplay.
>>
>>57078256
people like it. you don't. I find it entertaining. On smaller streams you can actually interact with people. On bigger streams the streamer does funny/entertaining stuff.
>>
>>57078256

Still fucking nothing. Getting a lot of bad request 400 errors in log, I think the thing's fundamentally flawed.
>>
>>57078256
They are so fucked up from being "connected" that they can't enjoy things like movies, books, tv shows, or reading articles.

They have to watch pewtie pie while video/picture chatting.
>>
>>57078294
I use the git version. the normal one in the aur was behaving weirdly for me. Try that maybe. Which distro?
>>
>>57078288
demo would be downloading their recording and playing the game back in your own client

>>
>>57078307
Wow super interesting analysis of the whole situation.very deep and well thought out.
>>57078294
And by git version I mean the aur "gnome-twitch-git" package.
>>
>>57078308
Ugh, figures. You know, having a fucking version control development system where you don't keep a goddamn release version active, up to date and working is garbage. Yet another reason we need to move away from this shitty "everyone release on github/other VCS" bullshit.
>>
>>57078322
I'm not educated enough to weigh in on this topic. What's the alternative though? A central package-management like flatpak?

dude it's 3 in the morning and I was just gonna go to sleep. literally opened the thread on a whim.
anyway I use the adapta-eta theme with paper icons and sansation fonts. I also use the infinality font renderer if you're into that.
List of Extension:
Alternatetab,Caffeine, clipboard indicator, dash to dock, media player indicator, no topleft hot corner, places status indicator , quick close in overview and user themes.

Other things: I tend to mostly use applications which adhere to the gnome design standards. GTK3 and big headerbars and such. (I can give you a list of what I use)
Additionally i use the nautilus-typeahead fork of nautilus.
