This is why I'll never trust recommendations done by a nobody that didn't even bother to try most if any of the services. OMB for example is literally run by to frenchies that give zero support whatsoever to accounts and their webmail fucks up on a regular basis. The forgotten password form was also broken a few weeks ago and I haven't bothered to check if they've fixed it. Many are really good on paper, but in reality not reliable.

No. That's the reason Protonmail cannot work with IMAP - Protonmail has a mailbox password that IMAP doesn't recognise.
