You can call me an idiot for using Win 10 but I didn't think it would have such a disruptive bug this long after being out. And the worst part is it's new, I didn't have this problem using Windows 10 on my laptop until an update few weeks ago.

How long has the bug kept going? A bug on mine held on for a day then fixed itself. So either wait or just change the OS.

You can disable the video driver "update" using a fixit tool microsoft released.
Good luck finding it.
Another solution would be to grab the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer, or from intel/amd/nvidia. Then WU won't think you are out of date anymore.
