My parents were shit poor and we only had a nice computer at the time (dual p2 Xeon setup) for the purpose of building credit, my dad got it through a promo with his bank
And I wanted a laptop so bad, I would kill for a laptop, I thought of selling everything I owned for an old thinkpad to play games on
Never got one, and that's fine, I got one for myself nearly 14 years later

Someone made drivers for it for windows 7 64bit. I got the controller and everything, but never got around to trying it out until I switched to Windows 10. But the best I managed was to get the lights to turn on, device was found but not recognized. Should look back into it again sometime. Only gripes I have about the actual controller are the sticks. One is x axis only, and the other doesn't auto center. But it was made specifically for one game that benefited from both of those functions, so it's forgivable.

Memory stick expansion, high res 320x320 screen, headphone jack... all this for $199 in 2003, when Palm was charging the same for their shitty 160x160 garbage. And the 800 mAh battery lasted for about 5 days between charges.

I also found it very amusing that the iPhone didn't have copy and paste when it was released, but my ancient Palm OS device did.

I actually have one I got ages ago on Craigslist for $300 when it still was worth way more. Spec wise its a good machine, and the upper end 5000 series mobile Radeon s were God tier, its 1080p IPS panel is pretty damn nice too, long before they were pretty standard. The downfall is it has practically no battery life, seriously it's a little over an hour with new battery and no gaming. Also it gets hotter than he'll, in the end the Radeon hd5830M in it ended up cooking and now its basically unusable.

Damn if that black lacquer finish is sexy as all hell though, too bad they had to ruin it with that fucking beats logo. Like I want snakeoil branding on my laptop?

I got an M11x. It was cool as fuck even if the hinges are guaranteed to break no matter how many times you replaced it. At least last I checked.
