So, who has given it a try yet?
Any major improvements?
Ubuntu is literally only good for LTS. Anything else is testing grounds 10x worst than anything Fedora, so might as well use Debian testing.
Found out today it gets OpenSSH 7.3 which simplifies using a device as a proxy, but that should come to Xenial soon enough.

Then explain how this STILL doesn't have Unity 8 + MIR
Install Antergos
Arch or Gentoo are the only /g/-approved distros. Install either of them or fuck off.

what will happen with 17.10?
>>57059963
its buggy as fuck just like all ubuntu releases. stick to 16.04.1 or Fedora 24 which is rock solid
>>57060032
simple, they wait for wayland to be supported by nvidia and amd, because they don't want the shitloads of bugreports that would be comparable to people crying about nodrivers with every new xorg-server release, but go on for months because nvidia/amd doesnt care.

Next is Z and then?

Different guy but that just means those really aren't ready yet.
But I'd like to mention that 16.10 has kernel 4.8 which is even more recent than 4.7.6 which Arch is on right now.
>Arch is too bleedy edge
No it just means the released package has is now seen as stable.
Ubuntu on a more bleeding edge kernel than Arch. What a time to be alive.
just fuckin works.
kernel 4.8
arch ain't even on 4.8

Non-lts releases' purpose is testing. Deal with it.
>>57061254
arch unstable has 4.8.1
>>57061254
>4.8
