I've had mine for about 1.5 years. I don't like how the chair leans back. When you lean back the seat leans back as well. I prefer chairs where leaning back causes the back rest to tilt but the seat stays still. Pic related.

The real problem though is that the chair has imprints of my thighs in the seat. This chair uses some crazy mesh of springs instead of a foam pad. The mesh of springs have become compressed and has an almost sharp corner now pushing into my legs where the seat ends. The leaning back thing may have something to do with this. I'm 6'1" 150lbs so I'm not particularly heavy even. I bought it new for $750 on Craigslist. Since I didn't buy it from Herman Miller I don't get the 10 year warranty which would maybe cover repairing this.

Wanted to post this little detail from my setup. Made a headphone stand from an xlr-cable a couple days ago.

They're BX6's, no need to have a monitor with an 8 inch woofer in such a small setup in my opinion. They're huge.
How do you like them? Is the bass too boomy and what position is the "acoustic space control" switch in?
Mine is set to -4dB since they're so close to the walls. Pretty flat frequency response imo.

M-Audio monitors get a lot of hate for some reason, but I think they're great especially when taking the price point in consideration.

No. Space is a resource, human physiology a constraint. In particular, from an ergonomic point of view, if the keyboard is in the optimum typing position, the ideal place for the mouse for over 99% of people is pretty much right where the numpad is, and removing the navigation block just gives extra useful space.

I have a USB numpad (admittedly not a great one) for Dwarf Fortress or any other game that seems like it'd need it, or if I'm suddenly press ganged for data entry, or need to work with matlab a bunch or something. For now, the only time I even notice it's gone is putting in a credit card or phone number.

Admittedly, it seems like a lot of people go ten-keyless or smaller for minimalist aesthetic reasons. Which I suppose is still a reason, even if it's one I don't grok.

You really don't see the use of immediate access to the navigation and function blocks? I use most of them all the time just navigating the desktop, documents, and using text editor functions, and a lot of the time its with modifier keys. Even just adding one more modifier to jump to next occurrence of variable name or whatever would be a hassle. But don't a lot of 60% designs have problems with modifiers + Fn access to nav or function keys?

No, not when it's way across the other side of the keyboard. Arrow keys are terribly inefficient for navigating text and I seriously hope you don't use the home/end keys either. About the only thing I use on a regular basis over there is the print screen button. Get a better editor yo.

They are Vogel VLB 200. I like them because you dont have to drill in to your speakers like in most speaker stands. They do not vibrate at all, and are very sturdy. The sound of course is not as good as it would be with a normal speaker stand that I could place far enough from the wall, but having a small room that isnt an option for me.

Cant say where you could buy them in your country, but im sure youll figure that out

I have no idea what you are imagining when I talk about the nav block. I use them in combination with ctrl, alt, shift, and super to do things like move or resize windows in openbox or jump between code blocks or to other instances of a name without having to resort to a search. Though I do use the arrows for moving the cursor if I'm already in insert mode.
I also used arrow keys for scrolling when I read documents or many webpages, especially if my hand's not on my mouse already. And I jump to the beginning or end (of the document or of a line in a textarea on the web) with home and end, because my pdf reader and browser doesn't support vim controls?
Actually, I guess that last one is on me. I should look into rebinding keys and finding a plugin for the browser.

It's on a completely separate block from the rest of the keyboard, significant distance from where your hands are generally. If you type correctly, the last fingers of your right hand will always be at the end of the alphanumerical block. Reaching over to press other shit on the home row is just slow than hitting a modifier with the hand that's already right there next to the keys it needs to be at and using a bind on the alphabetical keys on the right.
