I really only want a phone with an amazing camera and battery life. As for performance or screen, I really think that any flagship phone is good in these areas. I'm thinking maybe Google Pixel XL, but I'm not sure if there is exactly enough features with that phone to justify it over the V20, S7 Edge or even the iPhone 7

If you arent buying the Pixel you are wrong. Reminder that any android besides the one from google is horrible with software updates, which come out a year or two AFTER the nexus/pixel get it. Good specs dont mean a good phone. For example there is still massive lag at times on the galaxy s7 because of all the crap samsung and carriers put on their phones. With pixel you get straight from google with all of its smoothness and many software updates.

I want an iPhone 4s. I'm going to be using it for calling and e-mail.
Part of it is that I already own an iPod Video, so that way I won't have to be lugging around two separate chargers for two different devices.
But I also just like the look and feel of the phone, which can't really be said for most phones currently released, apart from maybe some sony and blackberry phones.
So what do you think? Is it possible?

Are there any Android manufacturers that feature software like the Sony XPERIA series? The software works on PC or Mac and allows you to troubleshoot, transfer files, and most importantly allow you to update your phone the minute that a new update is out.

I've been using a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and it was dogshit on Lollipop until I upgraded it to Marshmallow using the application. It's still a cheap phone, but it works really well for basic shit.

I want to get a new phone but want to ensure I have an upgrade path that doesn't rely on whenever (if ever) my carrier decides to offer the new OS. The Xperia lineup is all over the place in terms of quality and pricing.

My carrier's said they've killed the agreement, refunded all the accessories, and that I can come in for a free* upgrade.

My problem is... I wanted the Note 7. But I know they're not going to give it 7.0. I know that any sort of update will kill the battery or spam recall notices, if they even bother to give it that.

It's pretty convenient, when it works. Today's sensors don't work half the time when your finger is sweaty (I have chronic hand sweating so this sucks balls for me), wet or dirty. Ultrasonic sensors are coming though, they're going to be dope. They'll even work through substances so they can be embedded under the screen, for example.

I just bought a 64GB 6P instead of a OP3 but the general consensus seems to be that I should have gone for the OP3.

Dear /spg/,
Had a Galaxy Note 3, which was perfect for me. Had it since launch, however the charging port broke, then the modem stopped working, and then once that was all fixed, the microphone died on me. I bought a note 7 on launch, I really liked the phone, but I hated the curved screen because of the lack of tempered glass screen protectors. I plan on keeping the first one which was recalled a while back and send the second one, which was recalled today. I'm going to get a refund on the note 7 to get something else. Question is, what do I purchase next.
I was looking forward the V20, but again, curved screen, and also not waterproof.
Then, there's the S7/Edge. Not very interested in the S7, because of the smaller screen, however with the Edge I'd have to deal with the curved screen, again.

Also. What can my carrier do with the imei? Can they remotely brick my device? Do they know it's the one I'm using? Can I spoof it somehow?

1. ES file explorer is bloaty as shit, what is a good replacement? Amaze sadly doesn't have network options other than FTP and I need it.
2. How do I backup all my shit before unlocking bootloader and rooting which wipes my phone? Titanium backup requires root and using ADB backup command freezes on random apps.

I'm really liking my S7 edge. The only thing I don't like about it is that Samsung is really slow at updating their phones to the newest Android, you'll end up waiting 5 months after Nexus/Pixel gets a new update for your Samsung phone to get it, if you can deal with not having the latest software for awhile, the hardware is good.
