My Lenovo is falling apart, and I need to find something new and good within the 500 - 550 range. I don't care how big it is, I'm just looking for something with a lot of space (500GB and up), great sound, and accurate colors. Preferably not a touch screen, but I wouldn't mind it if it had everything else I needed.

I'm going to eventually get a desktop for video editing, but I want something portable for everyday use.

Expensive with not a lot of space and shit audio.

I'm looking for a laptop.
What a coincidence. I am in that exact same situation, even down to your laptop brand.

I've been think about this, but I haven't looked into it that much.

Researching for a new laptop is hard, because often people writing articles on the best laptops to get are being paid to advertise specific laptops and the facts are bullshit. And Amazon is full of scams and false information.
Best thing I've found so far is HP Pavilion 14, and it's hard to find much detail.
bum;p
I am also having this issue. My Thinkpad t420 (fell for the meme) is falling apart on me. Internals are coming loose and one of the top clips on the latch is broken, so it only stays slightly shut (it came like that, bought it "refurbished").
I've been looking at the Dell XPS 13 9350-5340SLV and it looks really nice. I like the form-factor of a 13 inch screen in such a small package. I've used one before and fell in love, although it was the FHD version. I'll never use the touch screen since the hinge doesn't rotate 360 degrees. I wish there was a non-touch version of the QHD screen, because holy hell is it gorgeous.
Is there anything /g/ can recommend me as lightweight and small as this? I don't want a 15 inch laptop, because that's just a little too much. My price point is around $1300.
