I don't.
Uninstalled bitdefender on my gf's shitty Toshiba yesterday, the fucker was so invasive it crashed the whole PC with utorrent downloading over a certain speed (less than 500kbs) for download live scan. A computer repair service installed it.
Don't use it /g/
Usually I go with avg free (now super bloated) or avast in silent mode, honestly common sense is best

No Pajeet I am not giving you my credit card for a remote antivirus scan.
NOD32 was okay except that it randomly freezes 1 CPU core when watching a video at 100% and then the system completely freezes. Also it hammers the fuck out of my SSD with writes in temp files for downloads/web browsing. Otherwise it was doing great on resource usage.
Noscript and common sense can only get you so far, so I kinda need AV myself as there doesn't seem to be any resolution for this shit on their forums.

I scan with malwarebytes and clamav. No, nothing is infected. Sorry to disappoint. Keep data mining for your "free" AV.

Tell your browser to ask you where to put files before it automatically downloads them and take a look at what you're downloading is a good start. Not running windows on the web is prob your best antivirus in general.
