Are there any decent paint replacements for Linux? Everything I've tried is terrible, all of them are missing basic features paint has had for years, like resizing/repositioning objects, even adding text, pic related
>>
KolourPaint can do that shit
>>
>>57045345
Step up and learn yourself a GIMP. It's like an entry-level photoshop anyway.
>>
Pinta
>>
>>57045379
GIMP is trash, use Krita or Pinta instead
>>
>>57045345
krita's full-featured
>>57045379

>>
Pinta and Krita comes to mind.
Hard to help you if you don't say what you have tried and what your needs are.
Also, /fglt/

xpaint is perfection
>>
>using gimp
>having your eyes burned out with a butane torch
literally the same experience
>>
>>57045345
I've tried most of the mspaint-like things, and kolourpaint or pinta seem to be perfectly fine for that kinda stuff.

not to hijack the thread, but anyone got a suggestion for drawing programs? Mypaint is missing a lot of features that would be nice (like selections?) and krita brushstrokes are really slow, although otherwise it looks really nice
>>
>>57045345
Chrome extensions work on Linux. Get chime, get pengi paint extension.
>>
>>57045857
Get chrome**
>>
>>57045857
Best extension = botnet-brush
>>
>>57045345
Pinta. It's basically Paint.NET remade for Linux.
>>
>>57045402
It's your issue to not have the ability to read the documentation of Gimp.
>>
Best linux tools to create vector icons for my shitty website?
>>
pinta a shit, GIMP is deprecated, Krita is good but has a couple bugs

use Krita or get paint.net working through wine and PlayonLinux

>>57046158
Inkscape, on any OS. No contest.
>>
>>57046245
Thanks for the recommendation
>>
>>57045345
I have used Kolourpaint for the past few years. It's fine. It has roughly the same features as MSPaint, but I like the design a little better.
>>
>>57045397
Seconding this
>>
Krita and mypaint
>>
For text I would suggest using inkscape, and Krita for drawing and editing. Regarding the brushe lag, use the most rescent appimage of Krita. They have fixed a lot of the issues with it.

Dropped
Krita is the true master Race
Stay mad Gnome cucks.
>>
>>57045370
This. It's even better than Paint, you just have to look for the functions.
>>
>>57047154
>draw a box

>>

gnomefags are pathetic
>>
>>57047154
I like more krita but applying an stroke to a selection is not an obscure thing.
>>
>>57047251
Jesus Christ, that's the best you got against GIMP?
>>
>>57047251
I give you that, it's just baffling that gnome devs ignore the requests to include an so useful feature. Still, disregarding all the goodness of gimp using that as argument is stupid tho.
>>
>>57047286
That it's missing something so very basic is really all I need.
>>
>>57047319
ok, but consider your argument, if it works for you it's fine but it's not better than an ad hominem.
>>
>>57047156
>you just have to look for the functions
Well it's not better than paint then is it?
>>
>>57047404
The fuck are you even talking about?
It's a completely legitimate argument.
>>
>>57047429
you say that if you:
>using an image editor that doesn't even have thumbnails in its file browser
then
>gnomefags are pathetic

Gnome has a lot of good things and it's a nice tool, while your argument is true it doesn't make pathetic the tool or it's users. However for you:
>That it's missing something so very basic is really all I need.
It's pretty clear you'll not accept opposite opinions.
>>
>>57047471
*gimp.
>>
>>57047156
If the gui is not practical, it's not good at all.
>>
>>57046846
Lol
>>
>>57045379
I'll have to agree, I used Photoshop in two classes in high school and once you understand basic concepts with layers etc gimp is usable.

But sometimes the workflow makes you want to.jump off a building until you're used to it
>>
>>57047507
neat argument.
>>
>>57047471
Sorry, it should have been "gnomefags are pathetic autists".
>>
>>57047563
oh well, i guess i was wasting my time, but nice baiting bro.
>>
Krita is more competent, but Adobe tools will always still be the best.
>>
>>57047600
>but Adobe tools will always still be the best.
Let's hope not, some serious competition will be good for adobe.
>>
>>57046245
Inkscape is so good. How is it that good?

These are both not me btw
>>
>>57047764
How pathetic
>>
>>57047887
I know right. The before picture is pathetic. I can also make you look better and less pathetic, anon.
>>
Gimp, unless you're a retard. In that case, stick to Windows, anyway.

Protip: Put gimp in single-window mode so you don't have to deal with all those separate windows.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA

Kolourpaint, faggot
