Dude bluedio n2 Bluetooth earphones has decent sound quality, great range and battery life, for only 9 bucks.
>>
>>57040173
it doesnt matter if you have bandwidth its to do with interferance, battery power and having to fit a fucking transmitter in the earphones
>>
>>57040173
Just because a popular brand makes x thing, doesn't mean it's better than what preceded it, that just means it's marketable and as a business, that's their job.
What better way to make money than by muscling in on the wireless market with 'premium' branding to swipe a few more bucks?
>>

Any amp is better than your built in 10 milivolts found in any phone

It's the opposite, retard.

The electromagnets in speakers are driven by analog signals. Nothing but wireless headphones ever see anything digital.
>>
>>57040362
How is this supposed 1 mbit measured? It's a fucking analog signal. You can play anything from potato quality to 192kHz 32 bit audio over a 3.5mm jack depending on your DAC.
>>
>>57040173
How the fuck do you even use bits, a measure of digital data, for analog signal?
>>
>>57040365
>The electromagnets in speakers are driven by analog signals
Which are converted digital signals.
>>
>>57040406
Which are converted analog signal.
>>
>>57040233
are you retarded?
>>
>>57040415
That means you the analog output can't have a better quality than the digial imput.
>>
>>57040362
Lossy compression loses detail particularly in high frequencies. This is not something you can change, and Bluetooth uses lossy compression.

With a 3.5mm jack I can play uncompressed .wav or lossless flac audio files and have the exact waveform of the recording come out the jack if the DAC and other circuitry inside the phone or player is decent. If I connect sufficiently high end equipment, pretty much exactly that signal is what I'll hear.

With forced lossy compression, I hear the original audio, minus parts that the algorithm thinks I won't notice if it removes.

>>57040406
Fucking where? Do you even know what's inside headphones? A wire goes straight from the 3.5mm jack, up to one speaker, around a coil of wire, and back to the ground pin. Nothing more. No other components, nothing digital.
>>
>>57040136
Did anyone else listen to the Bill Burr podcast and the story about his iPhone?
>>
>>57040439
You download a song on your phone. Which then converts the 0 and 1s into an analog signal. But those 0 and 1s are still digital.
>>
>>57040431
It also means you have to use analog anyway. Adding more shit like Bluetooth compression in between only makes it worse.
>>
>>57040406
>being this retarded
The electomagnets push the magnet inside based on voltage. Thats analog. It makes the air move thus generates sound which is analog. Do you think you have digital ears or what you fucking retard
>>
>>57040473
>digital ears
That would be no ears and a USB port/antenna
>>
>>57040173
>appledrone doesn't understand the difference between analog and digital signals
I bet youre an 'audiophile' too
>>
>>57040456
No. It's already digital when you download it. And not all digital signals are equal. For instance, uncompressed 44.1 kHz 16 bit PCM ("CD quality") is 1.4 mbit/s, and accurately represents each of the 44100 points on left and right channel waveforms, to an accuracy of 16 bits.

Compare to 128 kbit/s MP3 or any other lossy compressed format. These use far fewer bits to represent a graph of the frequencies present in the sound, with some removed to make it compress better.

Furthermore, taking any lossy compressed digital signal, uncompressing it and recompressing it as a different lossy digital signal will reduce quality. Even if you recompress at a higher bitrate, you lose a little bit of quality -- you've taken one imperfect representation and represented it imperfectly with another.

An analog metaphor to this is if you take an audio cassette tape, copy it to another tape, copy that to another tape, etc. With each iteration you lose a wee bit of quality. While digital can be *copied* infinitely without losing quality, recompressing it degrades it.

>>57040485
Digital speakers actually were tried. You'd have a really tiny driver that pushes either all the way in or all the way out, controlled by the lowest bit of each sample. Then you'd have one twice its size, controlled by the next bit, and so forth.

What the fuck am I reading
>>
>>57040173
>3.5 jack has sub 1mbps bandwidth
Gender studies graduate, pls, this is technology board
>>
>>57040525
Your ears can't understand actual 0s and 1s, those speakers still produce analog sound, they just use digital data without converting it to analog signal first like normal speakers do.
>>
>>57040571
Exactly. The drivers moved amounts of air according to the bit they represented. It avoided having a DAC and producing a varying voltage to send to an electromagnet. I think the issues with it were size and high frequency noise produced by the lower bit drivers constantly pushing in and out.
>>
Conclusion? 3.5 is obsolete.
