I have them turned on, but as opposed to some guys, I actually hide updates I dont want.

Why everyone thinks that updates works in 1 and 0 values, no alternatives?

Now it will be harder, tho, due to packages of updates, aka "all or nothing".

I disabled Windows Updates on both of laptops with 7 and 8.1. The X220 with 7 hasn't been successful in checking for updates or updating since July anyways.
