Does anyone else have this shit happening to their computers?
I installed the windows 10 anniversary update so I could play Halo and first my pc just froze up and I got a message saying windows is not responding and now whenever I get on this is all I get I can't get on my fucking computer.
Is the anniversary update fucked?
The entire OS was fucked from the beginning.
Reinstall windows
And then install gentoo

I do believe you are right, anon, it DOES look like something happened.

Yup. That's Win10AU for ya.

I installed Windows 10 from a disc I bought. (I know I know, but Skylake and new Mobo wouldn't allow W7 to install). I've had zero issues that many online are complaining about. Updates, programs, etc. Haven't had a BSOD or problem with Windows yet.
Then again I didn't take the anniversary update. Did you come from Windows 7 or have you always been on 10? It seems that the upgrade from 7 to 10 always fucks people. Your best bet is to probably find the windows key you're using, format the drive, and start fresh.

I upgraded from an OEM windows 8.1 disk to Windows 10 and recently got the anniversary update and this shit keeps happening
Update: this box appeared
Nothing on it just says Microsoft Windows on it

Yea that sounds like a complication caused by the upgrade. Did you do a factory reset on the PC after windows was done upgrading from 8.1 to 10? Regardless if how seamless Microsoft's"upgrade" process appears, it's a convoluted mess. That windows 8.1 key was officially turned into a windows 10 key as far as MS is concerned. So all you need is a disc, USB, or ISO file of the windows 10 version you have. Format the drive, reinstall windows and plug in your current key.
>even if you have to find a "borrowed" iso from a torrent
Downloading Microsoft ISOs isn't illegal as you're not paying for windows itself. What you pay for is a key. So long as your key is legitimate, there shouldn't be an issue.
Also don't change Amy drastic hardware changes before reinstalling. Windows 10 takes a hardware print of the PC and even a legit key may be kicked out as not valid if you changed CPU/GPU/motherboard.

How am I gonna download stuff if I can't access my desktop all I can do it wait at a sign in screen
>Does anyone else have this shit happening to their computers?
No because I use GNU+Linux Arch Edition.
How do I factory reset my pc if I can't get past the sign in

You don't. Make a bootable Linux USB stick Download the stuff you need on there.

>so I could play Halo
wait.. what?
>>57036293
You need the anniversary update to play Halo 5 forge. It's free and it's awesome if you can find a game
They didn't add server lists yet so you need to get invited to a custom one

I've been W10 since birth myself
