KDevelop is better

Atom is botnet
But I AM using vim
I am.

Visual Studio Code is shit. Vim is better.

Perfect.
Does anyone at all use emacs? Serious question
>>57035279
Yes
>>57035279
trying to, but 2lazy2learn

and his name is rms.
>>57035279
I do at work for clojure, I have a pretty decent setup based on one a guy started 20 years ago.
I want to adapt it to c# for home use, but I can't get the indentation to go to 4 spaces rather than 2 and my elisp skills are awful. Some day.
>>57035080
If you are not using VIM you are not a real hacker.
You are a shit-tier CS major who'll be working as a Java codemonkey for the rest of your life
>>57035068
atom is so better than vsCode
>>57035029
Vim > Vi > VS Code > Sublime > Leafpad > The Loo > Atom
>>57035029
>>57035279
yes emacs is good.
>>57035501
Atom is so much slower than VSCode. You must be a Trump supporter.
>>57035502
I agree, though I primarily go for VSCode these days.

Where does nvim fit on that list?

What a witty retort
How can i learn vi?
Someone post a cheat sheet or something.
The hardest thing is trying to quit the damn program

Best GUI editor for sure

Just look up vim cheat sheet

You really don't need much elisp skill to make it happen. It should especially be trivial if you're familiar with Lisp/Clojure.
There's an example at https://github.com/josteink/csharp-mode
Just for you:(defun my-csharp-mode-hook ()
;; enable the stuff you want for C# here
(setq c-basic-offset 4) ;; basic indentation size
(setq tab-width 4)) ;; if you want to change tab size
(add-hook 'csharp-mode-hook 'my-csharp-mode-hook)
Though looking at the code, the indentation level should be 4 spaces already.
>>57035029
I am though.
>>57036073
Now I have to listen to that song, thanks. Btw the live version is better.
>>57035279
Yeah, I like it.

I'm pretty sure it isn't written in Java.
>>57035478
Emacs is the real hacker's editor, though.

Tell me if you still think that when you turn 18, kek.

spacemacs
I like emacs, but i like in evil mode.
>>57036181
It's written in Javascript, which is way worse.
>>57035536
How can you actually prefer VSCode to Sublime? I'm genuinely curious.
>Ctrl-f "brackets"

I'm disappointed /g/
>>57036381
You only need parentheses.
come back and tell me how you feel about this POS after you uninstall it?
Well would you look at that its in your prefetch folder and reinstalling itself again and again.
How can you trust this software when the install and uninstall is total shit.
>tfw I use atom since I like that i can install the plugins i need quickly and start working.
>>57035279
Emacs has been having a bit of a second wind with the Spacemacs crowd.
I prefer standard Emacs, but I'm mostly a Lisp/Clojure guy and it absolutely provides the best dev environments for them.
>>57036362
I actually used to use Sublime before I switched to VSCode. The main reason I switched to it because of "muh opensource" and that it was free instead of having to keep using Sublime like WinRAR.
Though I can see why some people would really hate VSCode. It was actually VERY annoying to use in its early stages, to the point where I almost abandoned it. In the past few months it quickly became my favourite editor because of the new features in their updates (e.g. FUCKING TABS). In most aspects, it's like Atom, but faster and more polished imo.
>>57035029
But I do use GNU Emacs.

at least there was an attempt
