Does /g/ have a favorite algorithm?
Pic related just distributes the error eastward and southward, and also allows error to be carried forward indefinitely.

Nah, I just stumbled across the Wikipedia article and thought it looked cool. It reminded me of when I often used a laptop with a grayscale display, over a decade ago.
heckbert is cool imo

Not really.
I have though one very useful for removing spaces from a COBOL field.
Eg. 77 var pic x(10) value "abc".
The value abc will only take 3 byte from the declared variable so it will look like this:
"abc "
There is an algorithm to reverse the string and then count the amount of leading spaces.
Then you take the size of the variable(10) and subtract the amount of spaces(hex:20) giving us the value 8.
After doing that you use reference modification to get the substring of the variable var(in this case abc).
var(1:3) will give you "abc" without spaces.
Looping through the characters in the variable var will not work in values like this: "abc d t ".

pls stop ruining cute marie pics thanks
I like the aesthetic of the good old fashioned ordered dithering.
>>57033540
I like it when it's hand done in pixel art, but otherwise it reminds me of browsing the web on a shit 256 colour PC in the 90s.
>tfw no pixel gf

How is that not aesthetic?
How amazing is it that an image as complex as this can still be represented with reasonable fidelity with just eight colors? It boggles the mind...
