Apple isn't doing anything out of the ordinary. You're a clueless teenager if you think they're not just carrying out their 15 year product roadmap which Jobs already had a part in.

For example, the AirPods. Adapted from the EarPods which were in development since around 2008-9. Since that date Apple already knew they were going to make them wireless earphones around this time and so made a design that would suit both while also putting in research to try and make them fit well. Try anyway.

No, probably what happened is Jobs outright refused while blowing a gasket at whomever notified him of the plan. He likely went kamikaze and stated to not only implode Apple to not comply, but, inform the public of what was going on.
