I can not deny the good that HTML5 and Websocket and direct hardware access brought in, but the entry barrier was lowered too much (especially by frameworks and the like) and we have 512mb ram using articles and pages that crawl on i7's because of shitty javascript programming. The web is as good as it is, we just need to get rid of the bad web developers and everything will be perfect
