I usually seed a little over 1.0 on everything I torrent. I like private trackers, but the communities that surround them are literally fucking toxic. (See: /ptg/ fags who leave their thread to shit on public trackers)

I have never not been able to find any music I needed between /mu/ archive, rutracker, and soulseek. In fact, I dig things up from rutracker that people don't have on what all the time. It's slowed down lately, but the air of pretentiousness people get for using a private tracker is fucking insane.

I used to seed 1000:1 ratio on my gigagit up connection for all my downloads but since I got an SSD I haven't torrented anything in fear of breaking it.

There are good reasons for it. On the outside people don't give a shit about quality. You could get pretty much any music off soulseek, I use it all the time to get things that I can't get on what. But if you download popular stuff off public trackers or soulseek you run the risk of getting transcodes and garbage. To avoid this I try to grab scene rips when in doubt but most the plebs in this thread probably have no idea what that even is.
