The way that opens is fucking magnificent. I want one.
>>57013012
I still have one of these, it's only really fun to shit post on and maybe a few other things. Nothing great but then again nothing bad about it.

hmmmmmmmm......
steam controller really takes the cake
>>57012874
I hate buttonless touchpads
Tap to click is a recipe for disaster
>>57013012
What's so unusable about it? I can't wait to get one.
>>57018745
Buttonless trackpads are normally clickpads, you can disable tap to click if you don't like it.
>>57016463
Is the Steam controller good for anything? I want to get one to see just how bad it is but don't want to buy something that I'll just toss in a drawer.
>>57014295
That keyboard is pretty aesthetic tho
>>57018807
I know but i dont like clickpads either
They only click from one side
I basically like using my thumb for clicking
So if i put my thumb over a click pad, there's weird behavior, if it works at all
>>57018902
>They only click from one side
What?
>So if i put my thumb over a click pad, there's weird behavior
No issues at all resting my thumb on my clickpad while using it.
>>57018962
It clicks by tilting to one side, not the whole thing. At least the ones i have tried
The thumb issue is weird but the driver mistakes the resting thumb as a zoom pinch...
I don't understand why removing the button is better at all
>>57019048
>It clicks by tilting to one side, not the whole thing
Apple's trackpads don't have this issue, nor did my Cr-48's.
>The thumb issue is weird but the driver mistakes the resting thumb as a zoom pinch...
Yeah that's a driver issue. With Apple's drivers I can rest my thumb on the trackpad where buttons would normally be, control the cursor like I normally would. Pinch zoom even works with my thumb still on the trackpad
>>57012911
Maybe for some.
For others is extremely useful.
>>57019092
Let me disagree, maybe new models are better
Tgr thing is tgat when you click from tge thumb, the pad dont go like - to _ but /
Other way to test it, try clicking in the section nearest to the keyboard, and see if it clicks the same way as the nearest to the user
>>57019166
I thought you meant that the left side would go down and not the right or vice versa, not that the fulcrum was at the top of the trackpad.
>>57019363
Yeah i thought the same when i read my post again, sorry
>>57012874
I use one of these at one of the stations at work I have to format documents at for publication. I'd never use it in my regular workflow if I had a choice, but it's not unusable.
>>57018840
I use it for one of my media pcs. usable, not good. If you do get one get one off of ebay for $20 or something, because you will probably throw it in a drawer unless you just need a wireless controller for something and aren't super picky.
Oh, one thing it's really good for is ultra slow paced games where the pad part really shines. Civ V is great on it, so I've started playing that in the living room on my projector in the evenings while I work. It shines in very few games, but civ v is the one I've really found as a success with the controller.
>>57016463
Unusable garbage.
>>57012874
this is actually pretty decent with better touch tool. got almost all the gestures i use on my regular macbook air trackpad mapped to it, and it's alot more natural to use on a desktop with my mini than a standalone bluetooth magic trackpad.

Only exception that it's actually good.
